KAMSC is the best! I love teaching here and hope that I can help inspire students to enjoy Chemistry and continue them on their research journey. I graduated in 2008 from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and certifications in both Chemistry and Biology. I continued my education with a Master’s degree in Applied Science Education from Michigan Tech in 2014. I started teaching science at Loy Norrix High School in 2008 and joined KAMSC in 2020. I currently teach Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Materials Science.
I participated in the Michigan Teacher Excellence Program (MiTEP) concurrent with my master’s degree in 2014. One of my favorite things about that program was that it allowed me to study for several weeks in the Upper Peninsula both on campus at Michigan Tech and through a National Parks internship at Pictured Rocks. My degree also took me out west on a trip of a lifetime.
I love camping, spending quality time with my family, and working on my next crochet project!
