A special conference designed for  6th & 7th grade girls who would like to know more about math and science as possible careers.

You will spend the day doing projects with math and science professionals and hearing, first-hand, how science and math can offer young women many different career opportunities and choices.

In addition to hands-on activities, you will have a chance to meet and talk with women in a variety of occupations utilizing math and science.  You will also meet  KAMSC  students and college students in math and science fields.

While the exact lineup is still in progress, previous fields have included engineering, cosmetic chemistry, food science, animals, ecology, medicine, and  app design.

Held at Kalamazoo Area Math and Science Center, 600 W. Vine St. Kalamazoo, MI 49008

Directions:

KAMSC is located on the 4th floor of the Community Education Center building. Please  use the Dutton Street entrance.

From I-94 Exit 76B:   Exit 94 on Westnedge Ave.   Drive North (Westnedge will become Park) to Vine Street. Cross over Westnedge, go past the school and into the parking lot in the rear.

From Southbound US 131:  Take US 131 Business South (Exit 41); it will turn into       Westnedge. Follow this to Dutton.  Turn right and go into the KAMSC parking lot.

From Northbound US 131:  Take US 131 Exit 38A (Highway 43) to the East.  Proceed to Westnedge and turn right (south).   Take this to Dutton and turn right. Continue on  and into the KAMSC parking lot.
