I have a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I am a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Honduras).
All 3 of my children attended Kalamazoo Public Schools (KPS), including two who went to KAMSC.
I love baseball, science fiction, fantasy, cooking, and bird watching.
I am especially interested in helping students do mathematical research. Current active research topics include series representations of pi, polynominoes and combinatorial representations of sequences.
My current teaching focus includes: explicit teaching, increased opportunity to respond techniques, and developing easily implemented formative assessment routines.
